Join us at Sister Eveleen Retreat House for ....a Day in the Way of Mary Companion - Sister - Guide Around this time (15 August), some Christian communities around the world celebrate the Assumption of Mary —the mystery of her being taken into the fullness of God’s life. It is a feast of hope and joy, reminding us that God’s promise of new creation and resurrection is not only for Mary but for all of us.

Traditionally, the day has been marked with late-summer rituals of herb or harvest blessings, processions and other festvals, especially in the Northern Hemisphere. Here in Aotearoa, we can embrace it as a spring celebration— welcoming Mary as a guide in humility, compassion, presence, gentleness, and deep trust in God. Her Assumption invites us to live with open hearts, rooted in love and service.
