St Hildegard of Bingen - a weekend Silent Retreat

Hildegard of Bingen 'The Word is living, being Spirit, all verdent greening, bringing forth all creativity' - St Hildegard of Bingen A weekend soaking up Hildegard's teachings, seeking to apply them to our own spiritual journeys.   St Hildegard of Bingen was a beautiful medieval mystic who was gifted in the arts, music, pharmacology, theology, music and more.... a remarkable visionary, writer, composer, and Benedictine abbess who lived at the beginning of the 12th century. She was a woman of many talents, writing numerous texts on theology, botany, and medicine in a time when these subjects were considered an exclusively male domain. She also composed music and poetry that is still considered some of the finest in the history of the church. In this weekend retreat, we will explore some of the creative works of St Hildegard of Bingen and how we might bring sacred creativity into our own lives.
