The Lighthouse is the former Anglican Church of the Ascension,
located in the beautiful hills of Mt Pleasant.
This 8 km route (around 2 hours each way) invites you to slow down,
breathe deeply, and meet God along the way.
This is a self-guided walk.

What to Expect at The Lighthouse
The Lighthouse is a shared community space with mixed use throughout the day. At times there may be prayer, worship, teaching, social gatherings, or training events happening in the building. These may affect the quiet of the prayer room, especially later in the day or evening.

Space and Seating
The prayer room is ideal for one person, but two familiar companions can be comfortable.Three people would be a squeeze and may require floor seating.
Toilets
There are currently no toilets available inside the prayer room. We recommend planning a toilet stop near the end of your walk. Public toilets are available at Mt Pleasant Community Centre (check hours), McCormacks Bay Reserve, Scott Park (closest to The Lighthouse) and noted in the map for walking.
